Hi! I'm Carrie from Gracie Lou's Quilt Shoppe. We are located in the beautiful town of Salem, a very small town between Spanish Fork and Payson. Our store has been open for almost 4 years. We are so excited for the "Summer Buzz" in June and our Shop Hop in October. We have lots of great things in our store, including have a large selection of minkie, Cosmo Embroidery floss, patterns, notions, Dill buttons and let's not forget a unbelievable amount of gorgeous designer quilter's cotton.

   

We specialize in modern, bright, fun prints.

We also have classes and gift cards, which are the perfect gift for any girl who sews!

Introducing My Sister's Quilts

 My Sister's Quilts is a fairly new shop in the southwest corner of the Salt Lake Valley.  We have been open a year and a half now.  My sister (Carolyn) and I have had a dream since 1993 of owning our own shop.  Carolyn is responsible for the teachers (we have some awesome teachers) and the classes.  Me, I am over advertising, paying the bills (yuck) and the technical stuff.  What a wonderful year we have had meeting new customers and getting to know the people.  We are excited to be able to join the Beehive Shop Hop.  This is going to be another fun adventure for us!

 A little about our shop.  We carry lines like Moda, Henry Glass, Art Gallery, Riley Blake, Batiks and a lot more!  We have Winter, Spring and Fall Open Houses to advertise new classes.  Our Block of the Month program for the year starts again in May.  This has been fun and exciting.  I send out an email every Sunday night letting our customers know what is on SALE for the week and what classes are being held that week (as a reminder).  You can visit our website, blog and facebook page.

Introductions to Material Girls Quilts

Hi everyone, I am Nadine from the Material Girls Quilts.   I blog for the shop over at The Material Girls Quilts and Facebook   I am one of the 17 shops on the Beehive Shop Hop.  We are so excited for this year.  We have made lots of changes, added some new shops,  discussed some pretty awesome prizes and I feel like this is the year you aren't going to want to miss!!  I have been in business for just over 7 years, and feel really lucky that I go to work everyday loving my job.  My daughter Shelby is in the shop a lot and helps keep me organized.  I just thought I would share a couple of shots of things we have up in the shop right now.  We carry most major lines Moda, Free Spirit, Kaufman, and Riley Blake too just to name a few.  We tend to cater to the young or young at heart with lots of fun hip trendy designs.  We also host one of 3 Modern Quilt Guilds in the state.  We have embroidery,  wool felt and a whole lot more. Utah's newest Shop Hop!!

Okay, I admit it's not new new, but our name is brand spanking new!!  Yahoo!!  Formerly known as the "Scenic Byway" & "Holiday Shop Hop"  Our new name is the "Beehive Shop Hop"  which is our October event and Summer Buzz which is our June event happening June 13th thru the 16th.  Seventeen fantastic shops along the Wasatch Mountains will be participating in the event of the year.
